“Oh Diana….” Paul Anka belted out in his sappy love song way back then. He was singing about his feelings for a certain young woman that was possibly inspired by a real-life scenario: a girl he met at church.
Fast forward to today, and I have to ask along with many others in the land of Medium — who the heck is Diana Meresc? Yes, I know her profile says that she likes drinking coffee and writing, but is there something more? She regularly comes around my Medium blog, highlighting, commenting, giving me hope. Well, sorta, anyway. Until I found out that Diana Meresc is most probably a bot.
Bot — a computer program that randomly scours and does things on the Internet. Or, is she a compositely cute robot sitting at her computer, pounding away, meticulously keeping blogging communities all over the Internet alive (along with a few other commentary threads that get highlighted for botting).
So, I wonder, have any of you been visited by this busy bot? Is it good or bad, or nothing in between? Can so many people be mistaken about the industrious Diana? If you visit her blog, you can basically discover…
