When the moon

hangs out with the sun

as night has melted away

and winter’s mad grip

is broken

and we resuscitate Joveus,

the god of starlit madness

and the days shift

into an endless plethora

sewn into memories

of mixed tapes

and unmapped car trips

ah well, for one tiny moment

you have escaped

the ordinary.
