Aromatic Awesome Tea
Just Make Sure Its Tea
Pardon me, princess
let’s have tea
hand me the teacup
a tasty dribble of drink
together, let’s brew tea
dark and potent
with a touch of peach and passion fruit
bottoms up and
a toast perhaps
looking beyond the poison
stamped upon the bottom
of the delicate china vessel
Okay, so that poem is about poison and not tea, but tea is a truly popular beverage that is enjoyed by people all over the world. It is made from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant, which are harvested and processed to create different types of tea. The most common types of tea include black, green, white, oolong, and pu-erh. Each type of tea has its own unique flavor, aroma, and health benefits.
Black tea is the most widely consumed type of tea and it is made from fully fermented leaves. The fermentation process gives it a rich, robust flavor and a dark color. Black tea contains the highest amount of caffeine out of all the teas, making it a great option for a morning pick-me-up especially when it feels as though your feet are made of cement. Black tea is also rich in antioxidants, which can help to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. I must have my tea every morning!
