A Spirit — Half Lit

Poetry of the Night

Still, I can see your shadow

Roaming through the house

Lit by evening sorrows

The way you walk through the

Alabaster halls

Folding a bad decision

In your hands

The way your mouth turns downward

At the mere mention

Of a morning star

Then you line the hall

With photos that look like you

Staring aimlessly

The way you walk

Like a haunted spirit

The way you step into the past

Baby Darling

On your way, forever seeking something

In the blindness of

A midnight rebellion
